Dripping with languor, this song makes me think of waking up and reaching for a bedside guitar before you even open your eyes. You brush the strings, halfway still dreaming. A ray of over-bright sunlight sneaking through the curtains catches facets of floating dust which lift, and drift, and fall. Under these circumstances you happen to think that they might as well be stars.

nice songs you uploaded here.
i myself am a fan of The Pillows, The Seatbelts, Shonen Knife
if you didn’t have a chance to listen to these japanese bands i strongly recommend it.
its good to see good music coming from japan, aside from the commercial j-pop plastered with idols and artificial “intelligence” and bad music.
once again, keep up teh good work!
cheers.

I definitely like those too. I pondered posting hybrid rainbow or something yesterday actually, and I guess I still might. I’m trying to keep it relatively unknown, and those guys are pretty much legendary. At least they are the ones I hear about most in the US, aside from the obvious corporate piggybands. Thanks for coming back again too, I’ll definitely consider something from those guys, and I love to hear good recommendations. See you around!

well thanks to you i’m hooked on 9mmbp and hermit. hybrid rainbow wouldn’t make sense here since it’s the “apogee” of the pillows so everyone knows about it.
maybe you should check out miaou, a relatively unknown japanese band. they play something indie/chill/alternative. i heard about them through another blog and i’m glad i did.

Ooh, I like. They remind me somewhat of The Appleseed Cast. Thanks for the recommendation!

[…] This wisp of a song is to waking up on a cold dark morning what Hermit was to waking up on an all too sunny one. It’s a long and longing corner window stare; drained of momentum by an ice-covered outlook and one’s own frozen breath. […]
